3. Simon Cowell's Bottles Of Air And House Healing

Okay, Simon Cowell isn't exactly the first bloke to spring to mind when you think of celeb health gurus, but as a bloke with over 12 million Twitter followers, even the most benign statement is given a hell of a platform.

Luckily for us, and unluckily for the gullible of Twitter, Cowell does not limit himself to benign statements. in 2011, we were treated to a tweet that informed us all that Cowell had just had his house healed. If you think I'm putting words in Cowell's mouth to make him sound thick, the actual tweet said, "Today I had someone heal my house. Strange but great. The healer brings in good energy. Someone told me about it. It takes a couple of days.". Really.

Reports have also come in that Cowell is super into oxygen therapy, to the point of carrying around small bottles of pure oxygen that he can inhale as and when he pleases.

Despite the frankly impressive fact that somebody has actually managed to charge him undoubtedly outrageous amounts of money for bottles of air, oxygen therapy carries its own risks. Whilst useful for treating divers with the bends and speeding injury recovery, oxygen toxicity can lead to cell damage, lung collapse and respiratory infections.

Plus, this therapy is carried out in pressurised hyperbaric oxygen chambers, sniffing oxygen out of bottles is unlikely to have a life-changing effect.
