12. Remember Your P's And Q's
Saying "please" and "thank you" to someone really isn't difficult and as your mother probably drummed into your head, "manners cost nothing" but there is a big price to pay for rudeness, especially in the service and retail industries. If you're rude to your server, remember that they have the power to give you your change in copper coins if they so desired and you can never see how your food is prepared when you're in a restaurant. For all you know, it didn't go straight from the grill and onto your plate so just let that sink in next time you're intolerably and unnecessarily rude to someone for no reason apart from the fact that you're not a very nice person. When someone does something nice for you, would it really kill you to give them a little "thank you"?
