10. Channel Your Inner Olivia Pope
There are some days when walking around feeling like the badass you are is just... hard. The weather sucks, your boss is a nightmare, or you've just hit a rough patch either socially, romantically, or financially. However, we could all do with channeling our inner heroes and heroines, whether they're real-life or fictional, and something buoying and silly, is to place yourself in the ultra-competent mindset of one of TV's best badasses: Olivia Pope, played to acclaim by Kerry Washington in ABC's 'Scandal'. Sure, that doesn't you should start having emotionally toxic love affairs with the President - or in this case, your boss - or investigating murders or helping cover up political scandals. What it does mean, is answering every phone call with an air of mystery that will have you internally giggling at your colleagues' wide-eyed wonder; it means closing everything with 'It's handled'. Yes, it's a little immature and silly - but isn't that the point? You'll have survived another day, your colleagues might actually be more interested, making their day less dull, and you get to celebrate at home afterwards. Red wine and popcorn not included.
