12 Things Brits Hate About Americans
Separated by an ocean, and a few annoying traits.
America is an amazing country for so many reasons: great TV shows, a booming music industry and the greasiest but best fast food that exists. Regardless of all of the plus points, it's probably safe to say that American culture is somewhat different to British culture. Take their spelling rules for instance, the z's that sneak their way into our newspapers and the missing letters that make us doubt whether we're even spelling our own language correctly. And then there's the fact that as Brits we're not exactly known for our cheery outlook on life, whereas the Americans can be insufferable cheerful, insisting that we "have a nice day" despite even the worst weather, or the most limiting hangover. In spite of the culture clash, most Brits get along swimmingly with Americans (even if Hollywood seems to suggest that around every corner there's a British villain waiting to take over the US) but that isn't always the case. As with any sibling relationship, there's bound to be some friction, and as such we're celebrating the 12 things that Brits really hate about Americans...
