8. Reincarnation
It's like Doctor Who regeneration - you wake up in a different body, never knowing what new traits/features you'll have - the only difference - you can't remember who you were or anything that happened before - you have no collective memory of all your past lives - new body - new go-around! Very popular for many people around the world; it makes a lot of sense - you are born with a certain set of talents, traits and decide on a set of goals to accomplish - you live your life; if you make the best of what you've got, learn the lessons that were supposed to - you move on to conquer another set of problems, in another life-time - always evolving as a soul. (I've heard the expression - we are all spiritual being choosing to live in a physical body.) If you make bad choices, then you have to keep being re-born to give it another shot. I liken this to being in school. You start in nursery school, if you do what you're supposed to, you move up to primary one, you pass the tests and do the work, at the end of the year, you move up to primary two etc etc etc! You have to graduate one grade before you move on to the next. If you're not good enough, don't learn enough, do what you're told, then you have to repeat the year. You keep moving onwards and upwards until you graduate, or in spiritual terms, reach Enlightenment/Nirvana/Heaven. Very logical solution. Being judged on the equivalent of one exam is not right; if you're good, you get the equivalent of a Ph D after doing one year at nursery school, and, if bad, expelled to Hell, for all eternity. Not fair, indeed!
