13 Problems You Only Understand When You Can't Drive

We didn't choose the bus life, the bus life chose us.

Not being able to drive is a terrible fate that some of us are unfortunate enough to suffer. When all of your friends are hopping in their nice cars and travelling wherever they like whenever they like, you're left waiting in the bus queue next to smelly Dave wondering whether today is the day the timetable didn't just lie. Whether it's for money reasons, laziness, or just because you are inept at driving, suffering the hell on earth that is public transport can cause emotional scarring you're not sure you'll ever recover from. Travelling is an ordeal, you can never guarantee when your train will be delayed and you'll be stuck in what feels like a hot tin can with some of society's "best and brightest". Public transport timetables feel more like flimsy guidelines and in the winter months, hypothermia is a real possibility. And of course none of this is helped in any way by the constant questioning of why you don't drive from friends and family. No matter what anybody says - the struggle is real. Here's 13 problems you face, probably daily, when you don't drive.
