11. People Think You Have Such An Easy Job

If everyone honestly thought that teaching was such an easy job, then the world would be overrun with academics fighting for positions in the class room. As there's a shortage of teachers then you can assume that this isn't the case. People think that all you do all day is help kids colour in, put on their jackets and stop them from eating glue. Now, whilst you DO do all of these things, you also give them confidence, knowledge and that help that they need to find their feet. Not many people are comfortable with working with children and for those who think that it's an easy job have clearly never worked in a nursery.
