11. You Understand Every Pop Culture Reference Out There
You are THAT person who quotes TV shows in almost any real world situation, and frankly, your friends grew tired of this habit long ago. But like your TV watching habit, your quoting is a fever that cannot be cured (unless it's with more cowbell).
10. You Are Way Too Emotionally Invested In Fictional Characters
Instead of having a life of your own, you live vicariously through the characters in your favourite TV shows. Hell hath no fury like the one unleashed on your screen when something happens to your favourite character. You've probably cried on several occasions when twists and horrible conflict disrupts the happiness of your favourite characters. Let's hope you're not a Game Of Thrones fan.
9. You Watch Way More TV Than Your Friends, And It's Lonely
Yes, you understand almost every pop culture reference imaginable, but when you watch more TV than everyone you know you can't share those references with people. And when something INSANE happens on your latest show, the feeling of not being able to hash it out with someone else is truly tragic.
8. You Follow More TV Stars On Social Media Than Friends
Neil Patrick Harris just posted another adorable photo of his family on Instagram? LIKED. Mindy Kaling just talked about her love of food and shows on Twitter? RETWEETED.
7. You Know All The Latest News About Your Shows
Not only do you follow a mass of TV stars on Twitter; you also manically consume every other relatable form of media relating to a show, by following every entertainment website, blog and publication known to man. You're the first to know when a new casting decision has happened or when a show creator has revealed the newest shooting location for their show... and then theorize LIKE CRAZY until all of these shows come back from hiatus.
6. You Unfairly Project Character Traits On The Actors Who Play Them
We'll never forgive you, Ben! We'll also never see Michael Emerson as anything but the loathsome villain of the Lost island. It is very unlikely that you ever have (or ever will) meet the stars who play your favourites on TV in real life, so you just (unfairly) assume they are exactly like the characters they play on the small screen. When celebrity news comes out that shows these actual humans (what?) doing something that is way out of character for whom they play on TV, you get very uncomfortable and your fantasy world shatters every so slightly.
