Unidentified Flying Objects are strange enough when they're seen on our home planet Earth, but imagine how much stranger they'd be if they were witnessed while in flight to the Moon. That was exactly the case for the crew of the Apollo 11. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin has opened up about the worrisome affair.

In the above video, Aldrin acknowledged the stir that would be caused if they bluntly asked their support in Houston what the mysterious object nearby was while on mission. Slyly, they asked about the whereabouts of their S-IVB, the rocket piece that had been jettisoned away two days prior.

The astronauts were certain that what they were seeing wasn't the S-IVB, which should've been over 6,000 nautical miles away by that point. Aldrin explained that they feared their mission being cut short more than they feared a potential alien threat, so they never addressed the matter again until they were debriefed back on Earth.
