He may have played ultimate wrestling tough guy AC Slater on Saved By The Bell, but Mario Lopez certainly wasn't acting as the child-star turned TV host has been into the martial arts from an early age.
Brought up in the wrestling heavy state of California, Lopez was a decently successful high school wrestler, medalling in a few competitions during his formative years. He eventually got into boxing training and, according to him, trains and spars three days a week.
Not satisfied with his already impressive martial arts knowledge, he eventually donned the gi and has earned his blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He's certainly taking the grappling art seriously, and has been taking private lessons with esteemed jiu-jitsu black belt Keenan Cornelius.
