14 Problems Only Comedians Will Understand

10. Our Friends Hate Us Because Of Facebook Events

Being friends with a comedy on Facebook or Twitter is no fun. If comedians are doing their job right they're going to be gigging a lot, and if they play less-established nights they're going to be under a lot of pressure to advertise said night to the world. Even worse are gigs called Bringers. These are open spot nights more often that not, where one of the requirements of performing is that you bring people with you.

That means lots and lots of Facebook events, invites, begging texts, constant Twitter promotion.

"Did I tell you I've got a gig next week?"

"YES. I HOPE YOU DROWN."

There's nothing worse. Nothing. Except actually drowning, maybe.
