14 Reasons Your 20s Are Just Like The Lord Of The Rings

11. You Go Through Some Hard Times Looking For The Right Path For You

The novelty of your twenties quickly wears off when you hit 23 and realise that despite a solid degree and some good work experience behind you, you still don't know what you want to do with your life. Does Frodo really want to take the ring to Mordor? Not really, no. But when the fellowship is created, he chooses to stick with fate rather than quit - just because it's an open option, rather than heading home to find something alternative. This is you: you've just been offered a cool job, which you're not one hundred percent is something you're going to excel in. You might, if you give it a good try. And you're still young: you've got your whole life ahead of you if you decide to do something totally different later on. And all your friends seem to be doing the same thing. So you commit. This is you now, with an office job, a rubbish wage, but still some fun times (hopefully) on the horizon. You haven't reached a mid life crisis yet.
