The plastic skirts that the girls wore during the Jingle Bell Rock dance (which people need to stop doing at Christmas now) were suitably made out of plastic. if you wear plastic clothes in real life for fun then maybe switch to denim or some other socially acceptable material? You'll probably be warmer and slide about less when you sit down.
