Distinguishing Features: College stash, unquenchable excitement The squeal of an excited fresher is usually the first sound one will hear upon entering Durham. The average fresher will be overawed by the sheer amount of possibilities now they've finally moved away from home. New friends! Alcohol! Pre-drinks! Sports clubs! Societies! And the ultimate goal of any fresher, as preached from every college prospectus in the land - "getting involved".
