15 Amazing Websites You Didn't Know Existed

9. Book Flights On Google

This one is significantly less wacky than the rest of the list so far, but it's also infinitely more useful. Way, maybe not more useful than that He-Man video, but close. It's also just as little known, despite being a service offered by the biggest search engine on the web (by those undisputed Kings Of The Internet that may also become Skynet at some point). Booking flights - unless you're going somewhere nobody actually wishes to holiday at, and you're doing that a year in advance - is a costly and stressful process. At the end of it you might actually save a few pennies and end up on a Ryanair flight, which is really the best case scenario. And you've probably still parted with a few hundred quid. With the advent of price comparison websites like Expedia and Kayak it's gotten easier to seek out the cheapest plane prices, but even those sites will add a little on top of the already extortionate fares you're paying to risk your life swanning about in a big, hollow metal bird. It's those finders fees that make those websites viable businesses, and it's at your expense. They're saving you money in the long run, whilst also tacking on a little extra to make it worth their while. You know who doesn't do that? Google. Not exactly secret but definitely one of the most overlooked pages Google has is their Flights page, which will do all the leg work when it comes to finding the cheapest flights to any destination - based on your search terms and schedule - from countless airlines across the internet. And then it'll let you book them without any hidden fees. Nice.
