You'll not be able to apply for a mortgage at Gringotts but you can exchange real money for fake money. And it's definitely a lot cooler than it sounds: the bank is where you exchange your muggle dollars for wizard money that you can spend in the park. You're also able to ask the goblins any question and they have to give you an answer. Just be sure not to call them a house elf, because you'll not appreciate the reply that you get.
