15 Problems Only London Commuters Will Understand

2. Someone Under A Train

This is a far too common occurrence and the source of many a delay on the Underground. Someone has simply had enough and decided to throw themselves under a tube train. Between 2000 and 2010 there were a total of 644 suicides with the annual number reaching 80 by 2011. Unsurprisingly, the highest number occurred on the Northern Line. What€™s awful about this is not the inconvenience or the delay caused, and it€™s not even the fact someone has just killed themselves. It€™s the fact that it€™s announced so casually over the speaker system. You are delayed because someone has ended their own life and everyone just finds a different route and goes about their business as usual as if it€™s no big deal. But hey, free Activia samples at Tower Hill!
