15 Problems Only London Commuters Will Understand

11. The Crippling Cost

Train fares across the whole of Britain are among the most expensive in the world so anyone who has a long commute to work via train will know the pain of forking out for that season ticket. However, journeys in and out of London are unsurprisingly the most expensive per mile in the country. Add onto that the cost of using the tube to actually get to your place of work, and it€™s not unheard of for commuters to pay more in travel expenses than they do on their mortgages! A season ticket from Ashford in Kent into London plus a zones 1-6 travelcard? 6 and a half grand! Just to make that clear, that's £6,500 per year. Say goodbye to Christmas for the foreseeable future.
