4. Dealing With Food Complaints
Whether you're working in the bar, restaurant, or pub garden; food complaints are inevitably going to take up at least a small portion of your day. The thing with pub chain food is, while it's all very nice that it's cheap and cheerful, there's always one tosser of a customer who forgets that there are about 50 people who have ordered before them (because this place is massive) and that yes, it is going to take an hour to bring out a meal when it's the peak of summer and the world and his wife have come to sit in the beer garden. You grow tired of apologising and offering free bowls of chips and on-the-house deserts to dissatisfied customers. Why can't you just give your honest opinion, which tends to be "Deal with it, or just leave already". You're so professional.
