7. The Stares

There are a huge number of people in the world who have piercings in places other than their ear lobes. Walk down any street in most cities of the world and you're likely to see at least one person with some less than conventional piercings. So why is it you'll find you get an awful lot of stares from strangers? The general rule seems to be, the more you have - and the more extreme - the more people will look at you like you've just hopped off a spaceship from Mars.
