15 Real Life Dramas Only Actors Will Understand
Does your life feel like a three act costume drama, minus the budget?
Acting isn't all about glamorous frocks, film premieres and who is currently dating who. For most actors it's just about making enough money to pay the rent each month and trying to play some lovely characters along the way. The standard thespian career is less than glamorous - it is stressful and comes with its own terrifying dramas. Now of course actors are dramatic - it's their job but their personal lives aren't a walk in the park either. Spending long periods of time away from your loved ones on theatre tours or long shoots can be very lonely. Without those loved ones, everyday troubles can turn into fully-fledged, three-act dramas. And there are plenty of troubles in an actor's life. Whether an actor is being mocked for their meaningless performing arts degree, squeezing themselves into another ridiculous costume or learning lines on the train (thus looking like you are talking to yourself), a career in the performing arts comes with a vast array of everyday troubles. Yes these real-life dramas are unusual, and yes said actor will probably use them as motivation for a future performance, but it doesnt mean they are in any way fun.
