6. "What School Did You Go To?"
A sneaky way of ascertaining someone's religion, "What school did you go to?" is mainly effective due to the fact that in Northern Ireland schools are fairly strongly divided into Catholic and Protestant entities. If someone tells you that they are from St Joseph's, St Bernard's or any school beginning with 'Saint', they are likely to be Catholic. Protestants prefer their schools to be called "XXX High School" or "XXX Royal Academy". So it is a fairly fail proof method of telling someone's religion. However, a positive development in Northern Ireland is the creation of integrated colleges and also the fact that more and more schools are forgetting about religion and are thus becoming more inclusive.
