Few bands will ever reach the stupidly-high excesses of Mötley Crüe's heyday, in fact most of the tales you can find with a quick Googling will provide a pretty spicy round of Call My Bluff. Yet after 34 years in the game the band are planning a whirlwind final tour throughout this year, playing on 70 dates accompanied by the immortal Alice Cooper. Whilst glam rock had its moment in the spandex-covered sun, the movement has since died out and been roundly trounced by way of relentless parodying - most notably by innuendo-lovers Steel Panther. Crüe on the other hand have amassed quite the powerhouse of tracks, and although they've managed to avoid having one huge hit that overshadows the rest, when you can make a playlist comprised of Too Young To Fall in Love, Dr. Feelgood and Kickstart My Heart, this will be one hell of a legendary sendoff for a band who have already written their name in the history books in large alcohol-soaked letters.
1. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire
Family-favourite and all round test-of-your-mettle quiz show Millionaire ended this February, following a stellar 16 year run with the mono-cheekbone-faced Chris Tarrant at the helm. The show will continue on in other countries, but as it stands the UK version is all over. The show has become so popular over the years that the theme tune and sound effects from within can be recounted from memory, and Tarrant's now-signature phrases of "Final answer?", or the pay-check-rescinding "But we don't want to give you that!" are part of television history. Although having a show as bankable (pardon the pun) as Millionaire on our screens is a bit of a miss, the aforementioned decade and a half of content will provide enough rerun-able material to broadcast for another 16 years.
