4. There's Something About Mary
"No way! No freakin' way! There's Something About Mary didn't come out 15 years ago! I saw that in, like, 2004 or something!" Yes, that's our impression of you right now, and no, it didn't - the classic comedy starring Ben Stiller and the gorgeous Cameron Diaz shipped into theatres in good ol' 1998, where it became the fourth highest-grossing film of the year. We all remember this one for two reasons, then: the part where Ben Stiller gets his member caught in his zipper, and the moment where Cameron Diaz gets that, uh, "substance" in her hair.
Obscure Fact: In his review for the movie, one film critic branded Lee Evan's comical accent as "the worst British accent of all-time." Evans is, in fact, British. He's from Bristol, in England.
3. Dawson's Creek
In the US, at least, Dawson's Creek was the show to watch, and the one that made Katie Holmes' Joey into the girl that every man wanted to find in real-life. Created by the guy who wrote Scream, Dawson's Creek followed a bunch of teenagers as they went about doing teenager-y things, and having surprising intelligent conversations with one another. It basically set out to dispel the myth that teens are a worthless waste of space with nothing important to say, though we're still not sure about that. The show lasted just six seasons. Did we mention it's FIFTEEN YEARS OLD?
Obscure Fact: Despite the fact that the show wasn't even named after Katie Holmes' character, she was the only member of the cast to appear in all 128 episodes.
