15 Things You Didn't Know You Could Do With Your Macbook
4. Voice commands
Everyone loves talking to their computers. Some people, like Theodore from Spike Jonze's film Her enjoy talking to their computer so much that he falls in love with his OS (it probably helped that she was voiced by Scarlett Johansson). Macbook users can have all the same fun, except without the love part - giving voice commands to their laptop. In the Dictation and Speech settings, users can set up their Macbook to turn on dictation via any button they choose, and input a range of commands such as opening and closing applications, highlighting text or good old-fashioned speech-to-text. Not quite as attractive as a super-intelligent AI running your computer, but it's a step in the right direction.
