14. The Advertising Industry
Imagine a world where things you eat weren't being advertised to you using the sexually provocative image of barely dressed women? It's astonishing that anyone ever buys things like apples or cheese without a beautiful woman telling them how much sex they might be getting for choosing Edam instead of cheddar. And how has anyone bought something technological in the past 30 years without the satisfying message that women are probably too stupid to use it? That literally used to be a selling point. It would be awful if we ever got to the stage where products were actually sold on their own virtues or something.
