16 Things America Does Better Than The United Kingdom

9. Pie

The US didn't invent it, but no one makes this food source more of a heritage than us Americans. In fact, you can only be a true American if you admit that something is as American as apple pie. Plus, we are fantastic at making it: if you search for some of the best pie recipes, they almost all originated here in the states. I won't deny that in some cottage in the hills of Wales, there may exist a pie that would make me devote my life to indentured servitude, but America simply has more access to amazing pie, no matter what part of the country you're in. In the UK, it's basically either meat, or apple (with an odd sideline in curry pies at soccer matches,) while in America there's probably a pie flavour for every day of the year, if not every hour of every day of the year.

8. Making Everything Pumpkin Flavored

Something magical happens every September. Marketing executives figure out that simply adding a mild pumpkin spice to hot bean juice makes a bulk of our public salivate with their wallets open. So they decided to add pumpkin flavor to pretty much everything. And it's awesome. For a few months, we'll put pumpkin in pretty much everything from waffles to rice krispie treats. The best part is for men, because we (for once) know exactly what flavor of anything we need to buy for our significant others

7. Guns

Gun rights in the UK are extremely limited, especially compared to the US. Sure, they have way fewer gun homicides than us, but at least our police are armed for the most part. Seriously though, Americans have a much richer heritage when it comes to using guns for hunting and sportsmanship. Plus, we have more guns than we have people, which means that our country stands a way better chance at overcoming apocalyptic scenarios. Can you imagine 28 Days Later with more guns? I can't.
