Melina Markovna Kunis was born in 1983. At the age of 7, her family won a lottery that allowed them to leave Ukraine, and start a new life in America. "It took about five years," the actress recalled. "If you got chosen the first time around, you went to Moscow, where there was another lottery, and you maybe got chosen again. Then you could come to the States. Her family set up in Los Angeles with little more than $250 to their name. Now Kunis is worth an estimated $30 million.
