There isn't any rule on how many people you can have present in the labour room but you need to be able to respect the work of the people who are trying to help you deliver your baby safely. So maybe make sure they have space between your second cousin twice removed and your childhood postman. You can also record your birth if you want, again, if the midwife doesn't want to participate in an action shot then don't record them. They don't have a mobile make-up and hair department. Also have respect for other parents in the ward who want their privacy.
