3. The "Like" Button Was Going To Be Called "Awesome"

The "thumbs up" symbol on Facebook that allows users to "like" other people's statuses, photos, and any other content is one of the website's most-used and more-recognisable features - but it almost had a very different name. Originally, the "like" button was actually going to be called the "awesome" button - but, after much discussion, ti was launched in April 2010 with the name it is still referred to as now.
