Film: The Little Mermaid Ariel, the Little Mermaid, is determined to find true love on land, and despite belonging to the sea, is willing to leave her home, her family and friends, in order to marry a man she just met a few days ago. Seems legit. But that doesn't excuse Ursula's horrific deal and trickery. To the rather naive Ariel, Ursula is a saviour as she is able to let her live on land and find Eric, whom she believes is The One. So if your true love can declare their love for you without you being able to speak, then it's definitely legit. As Ariel's beauty and personality shines through to Eric even though she is unable to talk, Ursula tricks her and becomes a human in order to marry Eric for herself and capture Ariel's soul. It's just a shame that Ariel had to change her entire self and life in order to get with Eric... Power Rating: Whilst Ursula has magical powers, she isn't the strongest in terms of what she is able to do with them. If she wasn't using them for evil, she probably wouldn't have much use for them or even do any good at all. She is able to deceive innocent and naive merpeople with fake promises. Her ability to lie is probably on par with her magical abilities.
