2. Candidates Pulling Out

Perhaps even worse than candidates who don't get back to you after your initial conversation, candidates who get put forward for a role but then decide to pull out are extremely annoying. When you give a client a candidate's details and tell them the candidate is top notch, 99% of your job is complete. It's down to the client to interview them and decide which of your candidates they're going to employ. But, when you get that far only for the candidate to decide they're no longer interested, you want to uppercut them.

1. Unreliable Candidates

Worse still - and by far the worst thing that can happen to a recruitment worker - is when one of your candidates has been accepted for interview by your client and they don't turn up. Or they get the job and don't turn up to work. It makes you look like an idiot. You made the initial judgement call about the person in question and you put them forward for the role. That they then decided to let down your client reflects extremely badly on you and your company. The worst thing about it? It's completely out of your control.
