Guilty pleasures are, by definition, something that you feel guilty about taking enjoyment in. Even though the term as since been filtered down to mean 'a box of chocolates while bingeing 'Dance Moms' on TV', daring to actually treat yourself to a guilty pleasure while you're out of work, is generally considered a very bad thing for pretty much no reason whatsoever. We get how it looks - you're out of work and actually daring to enjoy something? Blasphemy. Okay, so, you shouldn't be eschewing searching for jobs in lieu of spending your weeks making your way through the best and worst that Netflix has to offer, but when you've spent hours looking, there's nothing wrong with relaxing like other people do. God knows it's stressful enough searching for work; you really don't need more guilt about daring to enjoy something. You aren't defined by your job, and therefore your lack of one. Just keep working hard and ignore those who try to shame you.
