11. King Arthur Carrousel Is Older Than Disneyland
Most of the horses on the King Arthur Carrousel were originally built in 1922. The hand crafted ponies were built by the Dentzel Carousel Company and found home at Sunnyside Beach Park in Toronto.
The original carrousel featured more animals when it was purchased. Walt Disney wanted guest to feel like they were riding a horse like King Arthur so found other antique horses to replace the original giraffes and deer.
