20 Books From Your Childhood You Completely Forgot You Loved

13. The Polar Express

Though many are probably only familiar with this story due to the 2004 film based on it, the book, written by Chris Van Allsburg, has been a favourite since 1985. Its tale of wonderful Christmas magic has prompted the book to become a true holiday classic. In reading, children are enthralled by the journey from home to the North Pole, where they encounter Santa Claus himself, and adults can reflect on their own childhood, and how genuinely magical the holiday season is. The Polar Express brings warm feelings and Christmas cheer to all.
