7. The Mobster Loved A Game Of Golf... And Would Gamble And Drink On Every Hole
One way in which Capone would relax and unwind away from the day-to-day running of his hugely-successful criminal empire was to play golf at his favourite course - Burnham Woods. Meeting with friends several times a week for a round, Capone was poor at the game itself - but loved to drink alcohol and gamble on every hole, sometimes making bets of up to $500 a shot. Two of his golfing friends were "Machine Gun" Jack McGurn and Fred "The Killer" Burke - while an eight-year-old named Tim Sullivan was often called upon to caddy for Capone.
