Barrack Obama inspired a wave of audacious hope throughout the United States when he was elected in late 2008. He also inspired a wave of bizarre depictions in popular culture, famously teaming up with Spider-Man on the cover of the webhead's book not long after he took office. Which was just the start of a frankly insane series of appearances. He made a cameo in the rollerskating manga Air Gear, an erotic Japanese comic alongside Hillary Clinton and John McCain, the sci-fi series Drafted where he helps fight against alien invasion, but probably weirdest was the epic fantasy of Barack The Barbarian apparently inspired by Obama's real love of Conan.
Tom Baker is the Comics Editor at WhatCulture! He's heard all the Doctor Who jokes, but not many about Randall and Hopkirk. He also blogs at http://communibearsilostate.wordpress.com/
