12. Sauropods Were More The Double The Height Of A Giraffe
One genus of dinosaur, the Sauropods (or "lizard-footed"), were the tallest type of animal to ever have lived. In fact, some could grow to be twice the size of modern-day giraffes - that's more than 13 metres tall. The Mamenchisaurus (or "Mamenchi lizard") in particular was massive, with a 10-metre-long neck!
