4. She Drank Whisky Daily... And Also Liked A Cointreau On Special Occasions
Although she was the archetypal English lady in many ways, Thatcher loved a wee dram - having a whisky every night in order to help her relax. Yet, despite whisky with a bit of soda being her drink of choice from day to day, Thatcher's favourite beverage was actually the orange-based liqueur Cointreau. She would indulge with Cointreau on special occasions - and when foreign dignitaries were visiting.
