17. Joe Rogan Experience #1006 - Jordan Peterson & Bret Weinstein - 7 Million Views
If there's one recurring theme about Rogan's podcast, he very rarely enjoys being the smartest person in the room. Whatever their speciality is, the comedian not only enjoys engaging in intellectual conversations, but most importantly, he loves to learn as well from others and hear their views as well.
On this particular episode, he had two interesting and very opinionated individuals on in the already mentioned Jordan Peterson and biologist and evolutionary theorist Bret Weinstein to discuss a bunch of topics. The one that really stood out among the many that were brought up was their discussion of the Unite The Right rally that happened in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017.
The rally featured a number of white supremacist and Neo-Nazi groups and eventually led to death of Heather Heyer, who was run down by a vehicle. As Rogan says during the intro for the show, it's quite a heady episode. However, Rogan, Peterson and Weinstein are able to dissect the situation in a variety of ways, giving the listeners an in-depth and interesting insight into at least some of the insanity that occured during the rally.
