Cardiff on the other hand (and possibly Wales in general) is the one that the majority don't seem to be aware of, but there's an easy way to sort that. Tell them that Doctor Who and/or Sherlock are filmed here! That usually helps to ring a bell, especially with Americans. Between the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay and random Tardis sightings all across the capital, The Doctor has become the city's "official" mascot, and the popularity of the BBC Wales series means that his association with Cardiff has become one of the best parts about living here for some. Just, er, try to forget that the only reason it films here is because London is too expensive.
