18. Thanks For Visiting Obama, But Don't Rush Back

President Barack Obama reportedly had a great time when he visited Cardiff along with his fellow world leaders for a dinner in the castle as part of the Nato Wales Summit. You know who didn't have a great time? Everyone who lives here, that's who. The city centre was transformed into a cross between a scene from Children of Men and a high security prison. As if a ring of steel around the city wasn't bad enough, warships (which were admittedly fun to look at) parked up in the Bay to presumably blow us all to hell if the need were to arise. Does that mean they chose Cardiff because it's expendable in the grand scheme of things?! Either way, while it made a nice change to see the capital given the spotlight for a major event, if it means you can't pay a ridiculous sum for a delicious Indian in Moksh without being stink eyed by a dozen armed police officers, just take it somewhere else next time.
