20. All The "Haunted" Pubs

If there's one aspect of Derby that has reached near-legendary proportions in recent years it's our status as "Most Haunted City In The Country" - whether or not this is official (there's hot competition coming from York, for one thing) it's almost impossible to walk into a pub without some claim to the supernatural winging its way to your ear. Whether or not you'll actually see an apparition is something else - while many of Derby's pubs are said to be haunted, finding someone who's actually seen a ghost is about as hard as finding a ghost for yourself. Still, with Derby's equally legendary selection of locally brewed ales to choose from, a few pints later and Derby drinkers are likely to produce some ectoplasm of their own.
