4. Going To The Botanical Gardens In The Summer And Having To Choose Between A Spot In The Sun And Somewhere You Won't Get Caught Drinking

It doesn't happen often, but the rare instances of the sun beating down on an afternoon you're not at work demands that you get as horizontal in a public place as possible.The Botanics are choice number one by virtue of getting less shade than Kelvingrove Park (and being nearer more bars), but the polis are still pretty strict on you bringing a crate of Tennants in with you - if they see you, that is. That said, if you don't get there within 20 minutes of the clouds parting you'll probably just having to sun yourself on the steps of the Royal Concert Hall instead. Grim.
