10. Explaining The Lambton Worm Story To Someone

Basically, a young John Lambton skips church and catches a small worm while out fishing. He chucks it in a well in Sunderland and goes off to fight in the crusades. When he comes back, the worm is now so big that it's wrapped around a hill seven times, is eating everyone's children, stealing their children, and pulling trees out of the ground to wave around like a club. After consulting with a witch (there's a witch in this story) John kills the worm but gets struck with a curse because he forgets to kill his dog as well. Or something. Whatever, it almost definitely happened.
