1. This Is Our Year!
No joking here. The ultimate agony for any Warringtonian. The Wolves are the only team to have played every season they've competed in since 1895 in the top flight of competition. Their last league championship was in the 1954-55 season, when it was still known as the Rugby Football League Championship. Since the Super League was formed in 1996, Warrington have been perennially on the outskirts of glory, finishing 6th and 7th whilst local rivals Wigan and St. Helens have gone on to win multiple titles a piece. Finishing 3rd in 2011 and runners up in both 2012 and 2013, the Wolves have never been closer to Super League glory and yet that 60 years of hurt remains. Every year, at the start of the season the hope rises again. The whispers in the pubs begin again. "This is our year." "This is our year." Dare ye speak those forbidden words. Dare ye hope. Dare ye dream. Always. We're The Wire. 2015 is our year.
