20. Reluctantly Admitting Your Parents Were Right About So Many Things

We all know what it's like growing up listening to our parents nagging about sorting our lives out, getting a job and "being responsible" - whatever that means. You do everything you can to rebel against their words of wisdom, convinced that you know better than they do. All that starts to change when you hit your thirties - suddenly, everything they said starts to make sense and you find yourself reluctantly realising that we probably should have listened a little more when you were younger. No one likes to hear the phrase "I told you so" but for the first time in your lives your parents have probably earned the right to say it.
