16. You Can't Party Anywhere Near As Hard As You Used To

After leaving home and entering the big wide world for the first time many people have a tendency to take full advantage of their new-found freedom in the best way they can think of - they go out and party. Hard. For the first ten years of their adult lives it seems as if some people are unstoppable party animals, out every weekend drinking and dancing until the crack of dawn and seemingly feeling no real adverse effects. All that changes when you hit your thirties - by midnight on Friday bed seems like a better option that one more pint and "proper" pubs - known to sell real ales - become far more appealing than loud nightclubs. For the first time the phrase "It's a bit loud in here - I can't hear myself thinking!" enters the vocabulary.
