11. Trying To Organise Your First Course Observation
Now you have to go to your course tutor, avoid discussing your mentor observation AND organise an observation with said tutor. It will take all your skills. Avoiding discussing the mentor observation is easy enough because they dont ask. In all honestly, they dont care. So, its down to the simple task of showing them your teaching/assisting/sat on your arse doing nothing timetable and sorting out when they can come in. I cant make any of those times. Can you do any other? No. No, Im sorry. The school doesnt sit down in August and write their timetables based around when a course tutor for a trainee teacher can come in. Funnily enough, its based around the needs and demands of the course choices and teacher contracts. So, if you dont come in, I dont get observed and I dont pass the course?! All because you cant be bothered to come in on a day off or something, granted, I wouldnt do but you should because its me!
