There are two strange accounts of people dying by holding in their pee. The most recent was that of Jennifer Strange who hit the headlines as she entered a competition to win a brand new Wii when it was released. All she had to do, along with the other contestants, was to drink a lot of water and then put off going to the toilet. She drank 7.5 liters of water and died of acute water intoxication. Her family won £10 million in compensation. Tycho Brahe was a well known astronomer and alchemist who died in 1601 after contracting a kidney or bladder ailment by refusing to go to the toilet at a banquet. During this time, getting up from the table during a festivity such as this was considered to be extremely rude, so he refused to go to the toilet. He literally died in the name of etiquette.
